Application Development/Project Management - A well written specifications document does not necessarily guarantee a successful project.  All GCI projects follow the GCI Application Development Process (ADP).  M Although much of the high level systems design was performed as part of the development of the specifications report, the actual development of the detailed systems components requires a great deal of brainstorming, communication and discipline. The ADP process consists of the following high level steps:

  1. Developer Assignment and Review of Each Discrete Unit of Work
  2. Developer Produces Detailed Design Approach
  3. Project Manager/Customer Review Design and Provide Feedback
  4. Developer Begins Code Development
  5. Developer Maintains Detailed Documentation of the Actual Implementation vs. Planned Approach
  6. Periodic Code and Design Review is performed by Peers and Project Manager
  7. Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) is Performed on the Resulting Code
  8. Business Quality Assurance (BQA) is Performed on the User Interface and Results of the Module
  9. Developer Makes Final Changes per TQA and BQA
  10. Final TQA and BQA before Customer Delivery
